The temporary exhibition

From the 12th of October 2008 to the 5th of October 2009
“De Gaulle-Adenauer: a Franco-German reconciliation”

The first temporary exhibition, “De Gaulle-Adenaueur: a Franco-German
reconciliation”, tells the story of Franco-German relations from 1958 to the
present day from the point of view of the ties between the two Heads of State.
Focusing on the similarities of character and values between the two men, the exhibition considers the 14th of September 1958 meeting consecrated to Franco-German reconciliation. The exhibition benefits from a wealth of different media (films, eye-witness accounts, documents) and results from a fruitful partnership between France and Germany: the exhibition Committee consists of Frédérique Dufour of the Fondation Charles de Gaulle and Corinna Franz of the Stiftung Bundeskanzler-Adenauer-Haus.
