Places to discover in the region :
On the site : The Lorraine Cross
Built of blocks of pink granite by the architects Marc Nebinger and Michel Mosser and faced with bronze plaques, the Cross is 44.3 metres tall.
The visitors can get to the Cross by the stairs on the outside of the Mémorial or the lift inside the building.

Charles de Gaulle’s grave :
Following his wishes, Charles de Gaulle is buried in Colombey-les-deux-églises next to his daughter Anne.
In Haute-Marne :
Wander the narrow streets in the fortified city of Langres, "City of Art and History" – its towers and 3 km of ramparts. Travel back in time one evening with the "Halberdier Festival" (in August).
In Saint-Dizier, admire the castle and the ramparts recently emphasized. 
In Joinville rediscover a "Renaissance" ambiance in the gardens of the « Château du Grand Jardin » composed of beds of flowers, medicinal plants and fruit trees. Visit "Springtime in the Great Garden", a celebration of plants (in May).
Go discover Chaumont passing under the viaduct, wandering the narrow turret-lined streets near the dungeon. Not to forget the Book and Poster House, with its annual "International Graphic Arts Festival" (in June and July).
